I sit here in the cold, gray dawn,
Of this snowy, springtime morn,
I see the snow on everything,
Yet, how nice to hear birds sing.
Mother Nature always has her way,
And sometimes she just likes to play,
Oh, but soon it will be warm,
And bees will then be out to swarm.
I love to walk among the woods,
As Jack-in-the-Pulpit peek out of hoods.
When Spring Beauties start to show,
Warm days are coming, this I know.
So when Mother Nature fools around,
Put on a smile; get rid of that frown,
Its all part of God’s great plan,
Spring is one of His gifts to man.
