There's something so very pretty
About a chilly winter's night
Light streaming from the heavens
What an awesome sight

The crispness of the air
Crunching through the snow
But the most favorite of all
The very best to know

Is walking up the pathway
Arriving on the porch
Anticipation of the welcome fire
Has to be the warmest thought

I feel you peering out the window
Waiting for me there
I just know your heart is beating
With every gentle care.
