~ God Forgive Us ~

We have gone so far astray
From the Rock we were founded upon
We have compromised our values
Forgotten who we should lean on

Now I must say I am more than weary
Of the path we have taken today
God will not be there to help us
If we continually turn Him away

The ten commandments are hidden
The prayers are banned in school
Our leaders are still determined
To hinder Jesus' rule

Our children are missing out
They have no knowledge of these
If we do not teach them at home
God will not be pleased.

It seems we are more threatened
Than ever in times before
They want America "Great"
But not if it includes the Lord

As a citizen of our great country
I have always been so Proud
But I'm now on my knees
Talking to Jesus
But afraid to speak out loud

"Come on America" time to pray
On bended knees with many tears
If we don't tell God we are sorry
There's not much we can say
That he'll hear.
